Punxsutawney woman pleads guilty to drug charges
KITTANNING -- A 22-year-old woman, who was arrested along with her sister in May on drug charges, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Sahaua Gervasoni, of 201 Horatio St., Punxsutawney, pleaded guilty to the charges before Judge James Panchik. She is awaiting sentencing in connection with those charges.
According to court documents, Sahaua Gervasoni was arrested along with her sister, Chasity Gervasoni, by Armstrong County Narcotics Enforcement Team agents following a traffic stop, when a driver in possession of heroin told police he had purchased the drug from Chasity Gervasoni. Authorities conducted a search of the Gervasonis' Rayburn residence and found the suspected drugs.
Sahaua Gervasoni was sentenced in March in a separate case after she sold drugs to an ARMNET agent in January 2011. She was sentenced in that case to two years' probation on a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Her sister, Chasity Gervasoni, was sentenced by Panchik in January to six months to two years less a day and two years probation on charges of robbery, possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility.
