Elliott Company has new director of sales, marketing
Elliott Company named Arthur R. Titus director, sales and marketing. He was vice president of surface completions at Vetco Gray of Houston, Texas, and vice president and general manager of the Olean and Wellsville operations of Dresser-Rand.
Goff Backa Alfera & Company LLC promoted Stephen J. Spitz to manager in the audit and accounting group. He has served for five years as a consultant. James Robert Baird III was appointed partner in the audit and consulting group. He has 10 years' experience serving public and closely held businesses. The firm hired Rita R. Day as office manager. Her experience includes working with education, service, technology and manufacturing organizations.
John F. Nobbs was promoted to partner at Blumling & Gusky LLP. He practices in the firm's commercial, corporate and real estate law practice groups, with emphasis on business and corporate transactions.
Frederick B. Pickering III joined Eckert Seamans Cherin and Mellott LLC as an associate in the business division. He practices in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities practice groups with an emphasis on the technology industry. Previously, Pickering was an associate with Keevican Weiss Bauerle & Hirsch LLC.

Mizrahi Design Associates Inc. promoted Kevin Kennedy to vice president and Jason Dancisin to associate. Kennedy has served as creative director and account manager since 2004. He has more than 20 years of marketing communications experience. Dancisin joined the creative team in 1997. He serves as project manager, senior designer and technology guru.
James D. Bendel was named director of alumni relations at St. Vincent College. Bendel returned to the administrative staff of the college as planned giving officer in 2004 after serving 28 years in a leadership role at Adelphoi USA. He is the women's tennis coach and has been an active volunteer on alumni council for many years. Fr. Myron M. Kirsch was named director of athletics at the college. He will lead the athletic department into NCAA Division III and the President's Athletic Conference, along with the return of football in the fall. Kirsch served as senior athletic administrator for the past year. He will continue to teach accounting in the college's Alex G. McKenna School of Business, Economics and Government.
Dr. Mark A. Rubino was elected president of the medical staff of the Western Pennsylvania Hospital, representing physicians at West Penn in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania Hospital-Forbes Regional campus in Monroeville. In private practice with East Suburban Obstetrical and Gynecological Associates in Monroeville, he is co-lead physician and business manager. Rubino is a member of the board of directors at West Penn Hospital.
The board of directors of Heritage Valley Health System announced its new leadership: Tim Merrill , chairman; Laura Vassamillet, vice chair; Joe Becherer , secretary; and Garry Hogan , treasurer. Merrill is vice president and general manager of NRG Energy Center Pittsburgh. Vassamillet is a vice president with Mellon Private Wealth Management. Becherer retired from Eaton Corp. as a senior vice president and general manager of the Cutler Hammer business in 1997. Hogan is vice president of Parker Hunter, division of Janney Montgomery Scott.
