Man arrested in North Side shooting death
One man is under arrest and another is being sought in connection with the shooting death of the owner of popular North Side clothing store, police said today.
Edward Dixon, 19, of the North Side faces charges of homicide, robbery, carrying a firearm without a license and criminal conspiracy, Pittsburgh police said. Investigators did not release the name of the second suspect.
Michael Ross, 45, of Homewood, was shot and killed Saturday inside his shop, CM & M Fashions in the 1100 block of Hodgkiss Street. Ross was shot in the head, body and ankle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives said Ross was working inside the store when two men, dressed in black with their faces covered, entered the store around 1 p.m. Dixon has been identified as the driver of a GMC Yukon, which the suspects used to flee from the scene, police said.
"We've identified a second suspect and we are continuing to investigate," police Lt. Kevin M. Kraus said.
