St. Vincent announces summer theater season

The St. Vincent Theatre has announced that it will present three productions during the summer season, the 35th for the professional theatre produced by the Rev. Thomas W. Devereux and directed by Joseph Reilly.

The schedule includes "Catch Me If You Can," which will be performed Saturday to June 21; "Lend Me a Tenor," from June 26 to July 26 and "Over the River and Through the Woods," July 31 to August 17.

"Catch Me If You Can" will be presented at 8:10 p.m. Saturday and May-31, June 3-7, 10-14 and 17-21 with a preview performance at 8:10 p.m. on Thursday. There will be a matinee performances at 2:10 p.m. June 8 and 11.

"Lend Me a Tenor" will be presented at 8:10 p.m. June 27-28, July 1-3, 5, 8-12, 15-19 and 22-26 with a preview performance at 8:10 p.m. on June 26. There will be matinee performances at 2:10 p.m. July 9, July 13 and 16.

"Over the River and Through the Woods" will be presented at 8:10 p.m. August 1-2, 5-9 and 12-16 with a preview performance at 8:10 p.m. on July 31. There will be matinee performances at 2:10 p.m. August 3, 6, 13 and 17.

St. Vincent Theatre patrons are asked to make ticket reservations in advance since seats are reserved at all shows except Thursday evening preview performances which are general admission. Reservations may be made by contacting the theatre box office. Individual tickets are $7 for preview performances, $16 on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings, $17.50 on Friday or Saturday evenings and $13 for matinees. Special theatre party rates are available for groups of 20 or more. Senior citizens who are 62 years of age or older may also request a discount of $2 per ticket on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays only. Special subscription plans are available until June 15.

St. Vincent Theater will continue to feature its cabaret, the special after-the-show party to which all theater patrons are invited. Snacks, sandwiches and beverages are served by students who also provide the entertainment. The cabaret is open after performances except Thursday preview performances and matinees. The 14th annual St. Vincent Theatre Gala will be held on Friday evening, July 18.
