119-819 interchange in East Huntingdon slated for discussion
The state Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration will conduct a public meeting to discuss major construction to the Scottdale interchange on state routes 119 and 819.
The project is in its final design stages, according to a PennDOT news release.
It includes relocating two southbound ramps, reconstructing two northbound ramps, constructing a new five-lane bridge over Route 119 and widening Route 819 to five lanes through the interchange in East Huntingdon. Construction is expected to begin next summer.
The meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Scottdale Fireman's Club Social Hall, 405 Porter Ave.
Participants can attend anytime during the two-hour period, but there will be a short presentation about the project at 5:30 p.m.
Any person attending the meeting and requiring special aid is asked to contact PennDOT before the meeting.
