Hempfield Area School District schedules registration

Hempfield Area School District has scheduled registration of 2012-13 kindergarten students and new first-graders at these elementary schools:

• 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday at West Point; Feb. 21 at West Hempfield; Feb. 22 at Maxwell; Feb. 24 at Fort Allen and Stanwood and Feb. 28 at Bovard; and 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday at West Point; Feb. 21 at Maxwell; Feb. 22 at West Hempfield; Feb. 23 at Fort Allen and Stanwood and Feb. 29 at Bovard.

Kindergarten students must be 5 and first-graders must be 6 by Aug. 31. The child's birth certificate and immunization record are needed, along with parent's or guardian's driver's license, home lease or sales agreement and either a current utility bill, insurance card, wage tax statement or pay stub.

For information, call the school the child will attend.

We welcome strong opinions and criticism of our work, but we don't want comments to become bogged down with discussions of our policies and we will moderate accordingly.

We appreciate it when readers and people quoted in articles or blog posts point out errors of fact or emphasis and will investigate all assertions. But these suggestions should be sent via e-mail. To avoid distracting other readers, we won't publish comments that suggest a correction. Instead, corrections will be made in a blog post or in an article.
