Vampires at the trough
Never satisfied, the Harrisburg Hogs are at it again.
Having taken yearly cost-of-living raises for many years, they are ready in this lame-duck session to rob the till and load their pockets again.
Legislators make $66,204 a year for a job that isn't even a part-time position.
The whole operation in Harrisburg is one big circus. They'll pass more bills in this lame-duck session -- and vote themselves a big fat pay raise -- than they passed in the previous 10 months.
Thousands of people in this state have lost their jobs. Many have lost their health coverage. Hundreds of homes have been ruined by floods. Public transportation costs are immoral. Cities are bankrupt. Counties are in financial distress.
People in this state are taxed unmercifully, yet all these totally unnecessary upper-class welfare-recipient legislators have their heads in the taxpayer trough, eating up more of our taxpayer dollars like vampires at a blood bank.
