Bush World II
Letter-writer Betsy Sharp wrote: "I have heard so much negative about our president and the war in Iraq that I feel a need to speak in the positive" (" Bush World ," March 28 and TribLIVE.com).
"Positive" and "negative" depend on from which polarity we think and speak. The things she mentions as positive are negative to most of us:
The total subservience to a not-smart president leads to dictatorships in other countries that Bush defines as "world democracy." Democracy to Bush is trying to force the world to become Republican. To involve our young men in a deadly religious-political war to merely transfer dictatorial power from one religious sect to another is stupid and constitutionally illegal.
At age 87, I find that our country is being led by a person who is not as intelligent and does not have as much common sense as I. That is scary.
