Sharon Stone blocked on dating app after users thought her profile was fake
Even celebrities sometimes have trouble finding a date.
Award-winning actress Sharon Stone, best known for starring in “Basic Instinct” in 1992, got bumped from dating app Bumble after users thought her account was fake.
But turns out it was actually her.
Stone shared on her official Twitter page Monday that her account was closed and she plea, “Don’t shut me out of the hive.”
I went on the @bumble dating sight and they closed my account. ??
Some users reported that it couldn’t possibly be me!
Hey @bumble, is being me exclusionary ? ??♀️

Bumble replied to her post a few hours later and restored her account.
There can only be one ? Stone. Looks like our users thought you were too good to be true. We’ve made sure that you won’t be blocked again. We hope that everyone in our community takes a sec to verify their profiles. (Catherine Tramell from Basic Instinct gets a pass today!)

“Trust us, we definitely want you on the Hive,” said Bumble’s editorial director Clare O’Connor, according to BBC.
Stone, 61, who grew in Meadville, Crawford County, has been married twice - first to the producer Michael Greenburg and then the journalist Phil Bronstein.
