5 things to do in Pittsburgh this weekend: Feb. 11-13
It’s Super Bowl weekend. Here are some ways to spend it in Pittsburgh.
Prehistoric times
Jurassic Quest takes over the David Lawrence Convention Center from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Guests can walk among the huge animatronics roaring dinosaurs that inhabited the earth many years ago in the Cretaceous, Jurassic and Triassic periods. I
In addition to the massive creatures, there are themed rides and attractions, live dinosaur shows, interactive science and art activities, and a “Triceratots” soft play area for little children.
There will be a moving, 50-foot-long megalodon as well as babies Cammie the Camarasaurus, Tyson the T-Rex and Trixie the Triceratops.
Tickets are $22 for adults and children, $19 for seniors.

Monster Jam
Monster Jam, a motorsport experience, is happening at 7 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday at PPG Paints Arena.
Eight athletes will compete with high-flying jumps and dirt-spewing spins.
Krysten Anderson will be behind the wheel of the legendary Grave Digger, celebrating its 40th anniversary.
Fan-favorite Blake Granger looks to lock in the championship in Max-D. Soldier Fortune Black Ops will be driven by U.S. Army veteran Tony Ochs, while Elvis Lainez gets back behind the wheel of El Toro Loco.
Masks are recommended.

Heinz Field show
The 18th annual Pittsburgh Remodeling Expo is from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday at Heinz Field UPMC Club Lounge on the North Shore.
L & L Exhibition Management is hosting the event, which features innovative products, home improvement and home building industries from kitchen and bathroom remodeling to landscape design for outdoor living.
Tickets are $5 for adults, children 17 and under are free. Free parking is available in Gold Lot 1, directly across from Gate B.

Crafts and Drafts
Crafts and Drafts returns to East End Brewing in Larimer with an outdoor valentine market from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday. There will be vendors selling flowers, candles, art, cards, vinyl records, jewelry, chocolate, apparel and leather goods.
It’s organized by Matt Buchholz of Alternate Histories and Jeffrey Krsul of The Bearded Iris Floral.
East End Brewing will have 15 beers on draft, as well as to-go options. The brewery also offers non-alcoholic Barmy Soda Company root beer, ginger ale, seltzers, and other specialty flavors.
East End Chewing, the Brewery’s in-house pizza kitchen, offers pizza by the pie or slice, along with a selection of sides.
KLVN Coffee Lab will have cups of hot coffee and bags of coffee for sale.

Hopeful Hearts
The Joe Beretta Foundation’s second annual Hopeful Hearts Valentine’s Gala is at 6 p.m. Friday, at the Omni William Penn Hotel Grand Ballroom, Downtown.
The foundation was created in 2016 and named after the Beretta family’s late father and husband. Its mission is to help people with heart failure. The foundation serves Pittsburgh and Nashville, Tenn., and provides housing and emotional support. The evening includes a three-course meal, a silent auction and a night of dancing with the band No Bad JuJu.
