Home & Garden Show
The 40th annual Duquesne Light Co. Pittsburgh Home & Garden Show opens this weekend. Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. More than 1,500 exhibitors will fill 10 acres of space inside the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Downtown.
There will be products from Amish exhibitors, ideas for outdoor spaces and kitchens, the latest in furniture, lighting, art, accessories and floor, wall and window covering options, and much more.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $4 for children ages 6-10. Children under 6 are free.

Disney on Ice
Disney on Ice brings “Let’s Celebrate” Thursday through Sunday at PPG Paints Arena, Uptown. Shows are at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Feld Entertainment is the producer of the show under agreement with The Walt Disney Co. It features more than 50 characters showcasing 14 classic and modern stories. The characters include Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, stars from “Toy Story 4,” “Frozen,” “The Lion King,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Tangled,” “Cinderella,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Aladdin,” “Snow White,” “Mulan,” “Pinocchio” and “Finding Dory.”
“Let’s Celebrate” is one of five themed touring shows in the U.S.

Celebrating women
The Senator John Heinz History Center in the Strip District is hosting guided tours at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday for “Women Forging the Way.”
The event celebrates Women’s History Month and includes a closer look at the museum’s “Pittsburgh: A Tradition of Innovation” exhibit. As described by Heinz History Center: “From Nellie Bly and Daisy Lampkin to Lois Weber and Mary Lou Williams, visitors will learn about the history-making women of Pittsburgh who have forged the way for future generations.”
Registration is required. Space is limited.
Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors, $9 for children 6-17 and students. Children 5 and under are free.
A tour is included with regular museum admission.

Captain Kirk
Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall in Munhall will host “William Shatner: Wrath of Khan” at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
A screening of the film “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” will be shown followed by a live conversation with Shatner, who played Captain James T. Kirk in the television series “Star Trek.” He went on to play the role in seven Star Trek movies, one of which he directed. Shatner’s career spans more than 50 years. He’s an actor, producer, director and writer. He’s won Emmys and a Golden Globe for his portrayal of lawyer Denny Crane on “The Practice” and its spinoff, “Boston Legal.”
A limited number of tickets are available.

Ministry
The Industrial Strength tour with Ministry, a band known for its industrial metal music style, and guests Melvins and Corrosion of Conformity is at 6 p.m. Friday at Stage AE on the North Shore. Ministry’s latest album “Moral Hygiene,” released in October, is a collaboration between Al Jourgensen and Jello Biafra.
The 10 songs on the latest album — Ministry’s 15th — cover current dilemmas such as the impact of covid-19, the effects of climate change, conspiracies and racial equality.
Tickets start at $39.50.
Proof of covid-19 vaccination is required or a negative covid-19 test within 72 hours of show.
