Opus One extends postponement, cancellation of Pittsburgh events
Area arts and entertainment venues and organizations are working to reschedule events that have been postponed due to coronavirus-related restrictions, along with continuing to announce cancellations.
Following is a list of cancellations and new event dates:
3 Rivers Comicon
3 Rivers Comicon 2020, originally scheduled for May 30-31 in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, has been canceled.
“We are already turning our efforts to May 22-23, 2021, to keep putting the comics back in comicon,” organizers said in a Facebook message.
Ticket-holders will receive an email to the account associated with their tickets, which will be good for the 2021 show.

B-PEP Jazz
Annual fundraiser for the Black Political Empowerment Project, moved to July 20 in the Heinz History Center, Pittsburgh. Original date was April 22.

James McMurtry, two shows rescheduled for Sept. 22. Original date was March 29.

Deutschtown Music Fest
Organizers of the Deutschtown Music Festival have canceled the annual event slated for July 17-19. A Twitter post reads: “For the safety of our fans, musicians, and venue operators, we feel that having the festival go on with thousands of people gathering for three days would be irresponsible and reckless at this unprecedented time for everyone involved. We hope you come back to us in 2021.”

The Frick Pittsburgh
The Point Breeze historical site and art museum has extended closure of its campus and cancellation of programs through June 1.
Some previously scheduled programs will be available on the website, which also includes a searchable data base of more than 150 items from the collection, online shopping from the museum store, virtual tours and exhibitions, a blog, information on apps and art- and history-related children’s activities, with a new activity added daily.

Greensburg Art Center
• “Art Neighbors” group exhibition, rescheduled for Aug. 15-Oct. 3. Original opening date was April 4.
• “Art on the Vine” fundraiser, moved to Sept. 12. Original date was April 18.
The center at 230 Todd School Road, Hempfield, is closed until further notice.

Greensburg Community Days
The 26th annual festival, planned for May 21-23 at Lynch Field, has been canceled.

The Lamp Theatre
The Irwin entertainment venue has announced new dates for these previously scheduled shows:

Little Lake Theater
The Canonsburg theater’s main stage productions of “Born Yesterday,” “Sight Unseen,” “Rumors” and “The Little Foxes” have been postponed.
Looking Glass children’s theater productions of “Art Dog” and “Elepant and Piggie’s ‘We Are in a Play!’” also have been postponed. A production of “Disney Frozen Jr.” will be moved to October.

MCG Jazz
These new performance dates have been announced:

Ticket-holders are asked to retain their original tickets. Those who are unable to attend the rescheduled date are asked to consider donating the value of the tickets to the non-profit organization. Alternatively, the value of the tickets can be banked for any future concert.

Opus One concerts
All Opus One Productions concerts through May 31 at Mr. Smalls Theatre, Club Cafe, Carnegie Lecture Hall and Byham Theater in Pittsburgh have been postponed or canceled. Opus One says it is working to reschedule as many as possible, but has limited information at this time on new dates.
Those who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster, TicketWeb or Pittsburgh Cultural Trust will receive information from them on rescheduled dates or refunds for cancellations. Tickets purchased at venue box offices or Dave’s Music Mine can be refunded at those points once they have reopened.

The Palace Theatre
These performances have been rescheduled:
• ”Against the Wind: The Ultimate Bob Seger Experience,” moved to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 10. Original date was March 27.
• “Legally Blonde: The Musical,” moved to May 22-24. Original dates were April 17-19.
• “Whose Live Anyway?,” moved to July 28. Original date was May 13.
• The Lettermen, moved to Sept. 20. Original date was May 17.
• Travis Tritt, moved to July 14. Original date was May 19.
• The Righteous Brothers, moved to Aug. 26. Original date was May 31.
• The British Legends, moved to Jan. 22, 2o21. Original date was June 10.
• “Hotel California: Ultimate Tribute to The Eagles,” moved to Dec. 9. Original date was June 17.

Pittsburgh CLO Cabaret
The entire season of summer musicals has been canceled..
The season was set to open June 2 with national tours of “The SpongeBob Musical” and “Once on This Island,” and would have included in-house productions of “Cabaret,” “Guys and Dolls,” “Sister Act” and “A Chorus Line.”
“Untitled” has been rescheduled for Oct. 29-Nov. 29. Original dates were April 3-May 3.

Pittsburgh Cultural Trust
All Pittsburgh Cultural Trust performances, exhibitions, films and events through June 14 have been cancelled or postponed.
The Trust says its representatives will be contacting ticket buyers affected by cancellations and postponements. Updated information will be posted to the website.

Pittsburgh Opera
The season-ending Maecenas fundraising gala will not take place on May 9 as originally scheduled. Options are being assessed for rescheduling or modifying the event.

Pittsburgh Symphony
All performances through May 21 have been canceled.
The three-concert series, “Bugs Bunny at the Symphony,” has been moved to June 30-July 2 in Heinz Hall. Original dates were March 20-22.

Ringo Starr at PPG Paints Arena
Ringo Starr is rescheduling his Spring 2020 All Starr Band tour dates. His Pittsburgh concert previously scheduled for June 20 has been moved to June 18, 2021.

The Roger Waters “This Is Not a Drill” concert, originally scheduled for July 8, has been postponed.

Trolls
Performances of ‘Trolls LIVE!’ in Pittsburgh set for March 27-29 will be rescheduled for Sept. 11-13 at PPG Paints Arena. All current ticket holders for the originally scheduled date in March can retain their current tickets for the rescheduled performance dates. Ticket holders unable to attend the rescheduled dates can request a refund through their original point of purchase.

The Westmoreland Museum of American Art
The Greensburg museum has extended its previously announced temporary closing until further notice due to the covid-19 pandemic.
In the interim, the Museum will be introducing new online and virtual experiences including virtual tours, live talks, children’s art classes and more. Its website also has links for accessing museum resources, including at-home art activities, a blog, a quarterly magazine and images of works in the collection.

Westmoreland Night of the Stars
Originally scheduled for May 6-7 in Greensburg’s Palace Theatre, the annual high school musical showcase has been postponed. Organizers will decide at a later date whether to reschedule or cancel.
