A man charged with burglary and theft in a Florida town was foiled when he targeted the home of a crusader sans cape.

The would-be thief was stopped in his tracks by a resident clad in Batman pajamas, according to the Cape Coral Police Department.

Kyle Myvett told investigators he was wakened early Wednesday when his home security cameras alerted him that someone was breaking into his truck.

Going outside in his Batman-styled pj’s, Myvett saw a man rummaging through his vehicle and then caught up with the suspect in a neighbor’s garage, according to police.

Myvett detained the 20-year-old man until police arrived.

The man was attempting to make off with cash as well as other items valued at more than $1,100 — including Ray-Ban sunglasses, a woman’s wrist-let and gift cards, police said.

“Thanks to a quick-thinking neighbor in his Batman pajamas, another burglary suspect was put behind bars,” police said in a news release.

This Batman’s identity is no secret as officers stopped to pose for a photo with Myvett before hauling the suspect off to the Lee County Jail.

The story has since gained attention from media across the country, including The Washington Post.

Myvett told the Post he bought the extra-large Batman onesie in 2016, to match his daughter’s pj’s. He called upon his experience as a former correctional officer and martial arts instructor when he detained the suspect, the newspaper reported.

Myvett, who runs a contracting business, told the Post: “We do remodels, rebuilds, new construction, restoration and design. And now we’re going to add crime fighting.”
