Westmoreland Cultural Trust invites guests to enjoy a themed Masquerade gala at The Palace Theatre in Greensburg on Feb. 29.

Those attending this year’s Party at the Palace at The Palace Theatre in Greensburg will enjoy a themed masquerade event, with guests visiting masked celebrations from around the world.

“Party at The Palace is a fantastic evening to celebrate and support the arts while enjoying amazing food, music and company in the beautiful Palace Theatre,” says Peg Colosimo, party chair since 2005. “The committee and staff work hard each year to ensure that guests experience a night to remember.”

VIP guests will start their journey at 6:30 p.m. at the Feb. 29 event, with a masquerade ball on The Palace stage. Elegant Catering will provide hors d’oeuvres and party-goers will sip champagne while EBT Jazz plays while perched in the loge section of the theater.

The main event will kick off at 7:45 p.m. with the Stage Right Sensations performing on the theater’s grand staircase. Guests will then move about and celebrate the New Orleans tradition of Mardi Gras with music by Pittsburgh’s Walkin’ Rosie in Megan’s Suite.

They can revel in the glittering festivity of Venetian Carnivale in the mezzanine or enjoy the elegant charm of a French tea room in Upper Megan’s Suite, where Kayla Ostaffe will fill the air with the elegant sounds of her harp.

The popular whiskey and cigar tent returns to the S&T Bank Courtyard with a selection of Wigle Whiskey spirits poured by one of its own distillery experts and complimentary cigars from Nelson Loguasto’s Cigars.

Local restaurateurs will provide an array of bites, from chocolates to savory spreads. Sating guests’ appetites, and showing off their cooking props, will be vendors including Caffe Barista, DeLallo Italian Marketplace, DeNunzio’s Italian Restaurant, Gigi’s Signature Bakery, J.Corks, Le Jardin Gourmet Chocolates, Major Stokes, Rizzo’s Malabar Inn, Sun Dawg Café and Westmoreland Country Club.

Party proceeds benefit the Westmoreland Cultural Trust’s ongoing efforts to grow and enhance the arts in Westmoreland County.

“We are so grateful for the support of our community and their continued belief in what we do here at the Trust,” says April Kopas, Trust CEO. “We are also thankful for our wonderful volunteers who make this event so special.”

Tickets are $85, or $150 with VIP pre-party.
