Jeannette art gallery You Are Here will host its first exhibit of the new year, “Women’s Work.”

Juried by Maureen Vissat Kochanek, professor of art history at Seton Hill University, the exhibit runs Feb. 1-29. An opening reception, free and open to the public, will be held 4-6 p.m. Feb. 1 at the 406 Clay Ave. site.

“Women’s Work” features 16 female artists working in a variety of media, according to the gallery. Its inspiration grew from the gallery’s Women In Art discussion groups.

Application to participate was extended to artists beyond those who attend the monthly meetings.

Featured exhibitors include Natalie Condrac, Jen Palmer, Kimberly Rentler, Stacey Pydynkowski and Erin Waller.

If weather is inclement on Feb. 1, the reception will be rescheduled for Feb. 8. Gallery officials suggest checking the site’s Facebook page or website for updates.
