2 Pittsburgh-born actors tabbed for Amazon's 'Invincible' animated series
A pair of actors from Western Pennsylvania have joined the voice cast for the “Invincible” animated series coming later this year from Amazon.
Gillian Jacobs and Zachary Quinto join a star-studded cast that already includes Steven Yeun, J.K. Simmons, Mark Hamill, Seth Rogen and Sandra Oh, among others.
“Invincible” tells the story of Mark Grayson, the son of the world’s most powerful superhero and the path he takes toward being a hero. The 144-issue run was bloody yet fun, galaxy-spanning and full of family drama.
Jacobs, a Mt. Lebanon graduate, will voice Atom Eve. Quinto, a Central Catholic graduate, will voice Robot.
“Invincible” is based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, who also co-created the comic book series “The Walking Dead,” which became a juggernaut TV show, and “Outcast,” which lasted two seasons on Cinemax.
