Alec Baldwin 'so done' impersonating Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live
According to Alec Baldwin, his version of Donald Trump is finished for Saturday Night Live.
Baldwin, who has been impersonating Trump since the 2016 campaign, said his impersonation of the president has run its course when the show returns in the fall.
“I feel like I’m done with that now. I’m so done with that,” Baldwin told USA Today. “They [SNL] should find somebody who wants to do it.”

Despite Baldwin’s willingness to retire the character, he has some ideas of who could replace him.
“Darrell Hammond did it and is a far better impressionist than I’ll ever be. If (Anthony Atamanuik) wants the job, it’s his. He can have it. I’ve done that.”

Baldwin said he loved the part, but since his son Romeo was born in last year, he’s tried to work less and spend more time with his family.
“SNL just crushes my weekends, and now weekends are going to become much more precious to me because that’s time with my kids,” he said. “But the party’s over this fall and I’ll be traveling.”
