‘Bill & Ted’ trailer released for 3rd film

The most excellent trailer for “Bill & Ted Face the Music” has been released, dudes.

The trailer, released Tuesday morning, runs about 1 minute, 20 seconds and shows Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) struggling on their mission to write a song that will unify the world, before they eventually travel into the future.

The trailer had about 1.5 million views as of Tuesday afternoon.

The film’s release is set for Aug. 20.

The first two films in the series, “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure” and “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey,” were released in 1989 and 1991, respectively.

“Bill & Ted Face the Music” stars Reeves, Winter, Samara Weaving, Brigette Lundy-Paine, William Sadler, Hal Landon Jr., Kid Cudi and Beck Bennett.
