Chris Rock is extending his stay in Pittsburgh to two nights.
The comedian made headlines on March 27 when he was slapped by actor Will Smith at the Oscars. Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith, which prompted Smith to come on stage and hit Rock.
Rock’s first show on Sept. 26 at the Benedum Center for the Performing Arts is listed as sold out (although some tickets are still available). A second show has been added on Sept. 27. Tickets for the second show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
The former “Saturday Night Live” actor found greater stand-up comedy success after leaving the show. His movie appearances include such films as “New Jack City,” “Madagascar” and “Grown Ups.”
Rock’s shows are phone-free events, with the use of Yondr phone pouches.
