Just ask Hollywood execs: Fans want what they want.
Sometimes, their desires are unexplainable. Just go with it.
With Marvel having obtained the rights to X-Men, fans are excited to see who might get the prized role of Wolverine.
One fan — Ring Arius — has the perfect casting: Danny DeVito.
Ring’s Change.org petition, launched a few weeks ago, has already amassed more than 13,500 signatures, with the target of 15,000. It’s almost certain to hit it.
“We believe that if Wolverine is to make an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that the only man able to pull it off is Danny Devito,” writes Ring. (Let it be noted that Ring failed to give DeVito the upper “V’ in his surname. Fan? We wonder.)
But fans are buying it. Graphic artist Stuart Cooper took it upon himself to craft an incredible concept poster.

Perhaps the best part of the whole idea are some of the reasons fans have given as to why they want DeVito.
Dave Pratt writes, “I live for adventure.”
“This would merit him an Oscar,” Vernon Jacques says.
Josh Phillips says, “Both the hero we asked for and we deserve.”
Tim de Wit writes, “I don’t see why I need to explain myself, he’s obviously the best choice for the part.”
Perhaps Rob Chojnacki puts it best: “I’m signing because there is nothing more right in the universe than this.”
