The Original Pittsburgh Taco Festival returns to the Strip District this weekend.

This weekend marks the first official Steelers Sunday of the NFL season — but that won’t happen until Sunday afternoon. So, what to do with the rest of your free time? Here are five other ideas.

Pittsburgh Lebanese Festival

All weekend long, get a taste of Lebanon at the Pittsburgh Lebanese Festival at Our Lady of Victory Maronite Catholic Church in Beechview. This best-kept-secret festival is a chance to sample delicious dishes from Lebanon while enjoying live music, dance, cultural experiences and hospitality.

From kibbeh to baklava, even handmade stuffed grape leaves, there will be new tastes and old favorites for everyone to enjoy at this festival. There will be a variety of other delicious desserts as well, so make sure to come hungry.

The festival will be held from noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Our Lady of Victory Maronite Catholic Church. To learn more, check out the festival’s Facebook page at facebook.com/pghlebanesefestival.

‘Enter the Dragon’ outdoors

This Friday night, martial arts fans can view the 1973 Bruce Lee classic film “Enter the Dragon” like they’ve never seen it before.

Part of the “Can I Kick It?” series, this screening will take place at Frankie Pace Park near PPG Paints Arena. Along with the film, attendees will experience a live remixed soundtrack from DJ 2-Tone Jones. There will also be a pre-film opening set by DJ Selecta to get the party started. The event is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to make themselves comfortable. Local food and beverage options will be available.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at Frankie Pace Park, with the film kicking off at 7:30 p.m. Learn more about the event here.

A Fair in the Park

If feeding your soul with art is more your speed this weekend, join those flocking to Mellon Park in Point Breeze to peruse a variety of contemporary fine art at A Fair in the Park. More than 85 artisans will have their work on display for admiration and purchase at this three-day-long arts fair.

From clay to jewelry to woodworking and fiber arts, there will be a little bit of everything at this event. To enhance the enjoyment for guests, food trucks and live music will also be on the scene. And make sure to soak in the backdrop of the late summer park while you’re there.

A Fair in the Park will be held Friday from 1 to 7 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. To learn more about the fair, check out craftsmensguild.org.

The Original Pittsburgh Taco Festival

It’s always a good time for tacos! This Saturday, the Original Pittsburgh Taco Festival will pull together a delicious array of food spots from all over to serve up one of the world’s best handheld foods.

Taking place in the Strip District, the festival will include offerings from Tocayo, Juniper Grill, Cilantro & Ajo and many more. Along with your food, enjoy entertainment such as art vendors, live painting, salsa dancing, family activities and even more. It’s a zesty party for all to enjoy.

The festival will be held from 12:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday at The Stacks at 3 Crossings in the Strip District, with early entry tickets available. Get your tickets at pghtacofest.com.

Jillith Fair

Singer-songwriter-activist Jill Sobule passed away earlier this year, but fans are keeping her spirit alive with this concert on Friday night at City Winery Pittsburgh in the Strip District.

The show will include several special guests, as well as Jill’s Jagoffs, Soblue’s very own all-star band that will pay tribute to the artist’s long legacy and packed discography. The show will also benefit the It Was A Good Life Foundation.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the City Winery Pittsburgh. For tickets, visit citywinery.com/pittsburgh.
