In this episode of the “Pittsburgh Pop” podcast, host Tim Benz and TV Talk columnist Rob Owen discuss Pittsburgh pop culture news of the moment, including Peacock’s six-episode docu-series about Joe Montana, who grew up in Monongahela, which is featured prominently in the first episode.

Benz and Owen discuss the career of the late Bob Saget, which spanned the clean (“Full House”) and the profane (“The Aristocrats”). It also included narrating “How I Met Your Mother,” whose sequel/spin-off “How I Met Your Father” debuts this week.

Owen offers his take on new series “Peacemaker” and “Wolf Like Me” and Benz discusses the ratings for the NFL’s Jan. 9 “Sunday Night Football” game that didn’t feature the Steelers, but still held interest for Steelers fans.
