In this episode of the “Pittsburgh Pop” podcast, host Tim Benz and TV Talk columnist Rob Owen discuss Pittsburgh pop culture news of the moment, including another WPXI-TV departure with meteorologist Jessica Faith exiting for a forecaster job in Washington, D.C.

The pair also discuss how local stations prioritize weather coverage with KDKA-TV even inserting a weather segment into new lifestyle show “Talk Pittsburgh.”

Owen and Benz also discuss rumors around the NFL expanding its game days even further and the status of Pirates games on AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh, which aired the season-opener last week despite parent company Warner Bros. Discovery saying it wants out of the regional sports business.

And Owen gives an enthusiastic thumbs up to Netflix’s new Rob Lowe comedy “Unstable.”
