FILE - Philip Baker Hall arrives at the premiere of “Clear History” in 2013 in Los Angeles. Hall, the prolific character actor of film and theater who starred in Paul Thomas Anderson’s early movies and who memorably hunted down a long-overdue library book in “Seinfeld,” has died. He was 90. Holly Wolfle Hall, the actor’s wife of nearly 40 years, says Hall died Sunday surrounded by loved ones in Glendale, Calif.

In this episode of the “Pittsburgh Pop” podcast, host Tim Benz and TV Talk columnist Rob Owen discuss Pittsburgh pop culture news of the moment, why Amazon Freevee wanted to revive “American Rust” and the “A League of Their Own’ teaser trailer.

Benz weighs in on early episodes of season six of Netflix’s “Peaky Blinders” and Owen reviews AMC’s “Dark Winds.”

The pair also discuss the passing of consummate character actor Philip Baker Hall (“Seinfeld,” “Boogie Nights,” “Pasadena”).
