Pittsburgh-raised music star Wiz Khalifa revealed on ‘Masked Singer’
In the end, it makes sense that Wiz Khalifa would turn out to be The Chameleon. After all, he’s already a chameleon-like multi-hyphenate: rap star, actor (“Dickinson”) and businessman (Khalifa Kush cannabis).
The Pittsburgh Allderdice grad was unmasked Wednesday night on the fifth season finale of Fox’s “The Masked Singer” with host Nick Cannon calling him “one of the biggest stars to ever grace our ‘Masked Singer’ stage.”
Khalifa placed third for the season with judges Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger correctly guessing it was Khalifa under the Chameleon costume. Ken Jeong and guest panelists LeAnn Rimes thought 2 Chainz was the Chameleon. Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg guessed Chameleon was Gucci Mane.

98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey, dressed as Piglet, came in first. Pop singer JoJo, disguised as Black Swan, landed in second place.
Khalifa, whose finale number was “Gangsta’s Paradise,” said he chose to participate in the show for his elementary school age son.
“He’s probably gonna be a little freaked out when he sees the chameleon,” Khalifa said. “I’m a fun dad. … As much as I can encourage him to be himself and get into his imagination and sing, dance, and be as crazy as possible, I’ll be the best example for that.”
Khalifa, whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz, already has an established relationship with Fox. He voices a guidance counselor/teacher/gym coach on Fox’s animated comedy “Duncanville” (9:30 p.m. Monday, WPGH-TV), which the network already renewed for a third season.
