Pittsburgh resident Margaret Shelton took first place after competing on the TV game show “Jeopardy!” Tuesday night.

Shelton won $16,600 from the game that pitted her against Christine Whelchel, of Tennessee, and Stefan Stenroos, of California, according to the “Jeopardy!” website.

Shelton joins a few other Pittsburghers to compete on the country’s best-rated quiz show.

Gabbie Kim, a mother of two and birth doula from Greenfield, appeared on the show’s season premiere in September 2021. Then, University of Pittsburgh assistant professor Ally Bove competed on “Jeopardy!” in January. Kristin Donegan, a senior biological sciences major at Carnegie Mellon University, appeared on the show’s College Championship tournament in February and advanced to the semifinals before being eliminated.

Shelton, a homemaker, appeared on an episode hosted by Ken Jennings, the well-known former “Jeopardy!” contestant who has taken over some hosting duties after longtime host Alex Trebek passed away in 2020.
