There’s always drama on “American Idol,” and Sunday night’s Hollywood Week episode was no different.

Unfortunately, the drama came from the sudden illness of Nate Walker, with the West Mifflin singer heading off to the hospital.

Walker started feeling sick after a soulful rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Believe in You and Me,” which brought the audience — and judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan — to their feet.

Viewers should find out how he fared on tonight’s episode at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Nate’s mom Chaunell was in the Hollywood Week audience, so she probably was able to provide some TLC.

The 18-year-old, who counts Munhall native and “Idol” alum Gabby Barrett as a friend, was on the way to the group round in the singing competition series. Walker was one of 98 singers chosen to advance to the next phase.
