With a dad hailing from Pittsburgh and a late-night talk show, Seth Meyers leaves little doubt as to what his Western Pennsylvania show will entail.

Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates talk and political commentary will rule the night when Meyers, host of NBC’s “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” appears June 14 at the Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall.

Beginning in 2001, Meyers was a “Saturday Night Live” cast member for 13 seasons. He served as head writer for nine seasons and “Weekend Update” anchor for eight.

In 2011, he won the Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for a musical monologue performed by host Justin Timberlake. In all, Meyers has garnered 20 Emmy nominations for his work in television.

Meyers created the famous line, “I can see Russia from my house,” uttered by Tina Fey playing former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

He also portrayed figures such as Prince Charles, Ryan Seacrest, Sean Penn, Tobey Maguire, Peyton Manning, Ty Pennington, Bill Cowher, Brian Williams, Donald Trump Jr. and Tom Cruise.

Meyers hosted the 2014 Primetime Emmy Awards and the 2018 Golden Globe Awards.

His signature “Late Night” segment is “A Closer Look,” an edgy take on current events and politics.
