This week, Netflix dropped the first trailer for the final season of “Stranger Things,” which lives up to its title with some of the new hairstyles on the ever-aging lead characters. (“Terminator” alum Linda Hamilton joins the cast with a ’do that resembles ’80s-era Lucille Ball.)

Set in fall 1987, the town of Hawkins is on edge following the incursion of the Upside Down into Hawkins, which was set in motion by Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), who has since disappeared.

As the new season begins, the U.S. military has put the town under quarantine as it searches for Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), who goes back into hiding as one final battle looms.

The final season streams in three parts with the first batch of episodes dropping Nov. 26 (2 p.m.), a second volume on Dec. 25 (2 p.m.) and the finale debuts Dec. 31 (2 p.m.).

Apple show adds to cast

The Apple TV+ series based on the Lars Kepler crime novels that’s filming in Pittsburgh added two more to its cast, per Deadline.com.

Poorna Jagannathan (“Deli Boys”) and Gary Carr (“Genius: MLK”) will join Liev Schreiber, who stars as a homicide detective who left the Philadelphia police force for a small town in Western Pennsylvania. Then serial killer Jurek Walter (Stephen Graham, “Adolescence”) threatens the cop’s family, including his FBI agent daughter, Saga Bauer (Zazie Beetz).

‘Blue Bloods’ alum joins spinoff

Bridget Moynahan will reprise her role as Erin Reagan as a guest star in the first episode (Oct. 17) of CBS’s “Boston Blue,” a spinoff from the long-running “Blue Bloods.” “Boston Blue” is now filming its first season in Toronto.

Mark Wahlberg stars in “Boston Blue,” reprising his role as Danny Reagan, who takes a new position with the Boston PD where he’s paired with Detective Lena Silver (Sonequea Martin Green, “Star Trek: Discovery”).

In addition to that appearance by Danny’s sister, Erin, Danny’s son, Sean, will also be a regular in “Boston Blue,” but the role will be played by a new actor, Mika Amonsen, who replaces Andre Terraciano, who played the part on “Blue Bloods.”
