Emmy winner Noah Wyle stars in season two of the Pittsburgh-set drama “The Pitt.” (HBO Max)

Although a teaser for season two of “The Pitt” released in August, a new trailer offers more hints about what’s to come in season two — perhaps even some spoilers; watch at your own peril.

This preview of the Pittsburgh-set ER drama, which debuts its second season at 9 p.m. Jan. 8 on HBO Max, shows off Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle) and his antipathy toward a post-rehab Langdon (Patrick Ball), the return of Nurse Dana (Katherine LaNasa) and the arrival of a new attending physician (Sepideh Moafi) who will fill in while Robby is on sabbatical.

HBO Max announced season two of “The Pitt” will be available to stream in American Sign Language beginning with its premiere. Season one of “The Pitt” will have ASL added as an option to stream beginning Dec. 21.

A companion video podcast to the series will be available to watch on HBO Max after each season two episode concludes. It will be hosted by Hunter Harris and Dr. Alok Patel.

Hamlin on Hallmark

This year’s “Countdown to Christmas” programming stunt on Hallmark Channel includes “The More the Merrier,” a movie featuring real-life survivors of cardiac events including NFL player and Pittsburgh native Damar Hamlin. “The More the Merrier” is tentatively scheduled to re-air at 8 p.m. Dec. 18, 10 p.m. Dec. 27 and 2 p.m. Jan. 2.

Hamlin also appeared in Hallmark Channel’s “Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story,” which will re-air at 2 p.m. Dec. 20.

Both films also stream on Hallmark+.
