Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh and MuseumLab’s Great Night In Family Gala 2020 will include home delivery of a spaghetti dinner.

The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh and MuseumLab will host the Great Night In Family Gala 2020 on June 14.

The event, originally set for June 6, was changed to allow the museum to update the program.

“Specifically, the Gala program will address — and enable parents and children to have heartfelt discussions — (about) the killing of George Floyd and resulting events impacting our city, region, nation and beyond,” according to an announcement from the museum.

Gala ticket buyers will be treated to online celebrity entertainment and a locally sourced spaghetti dinner delivered to their homes by volunteer drivers.

“Gala guests will be supporting the Children’s Museum and MuseumLab, neighborhood businesses and families in the North Side experiencing food insecurity,” organizers say.

The spaghetti dinner box, designed to feed four people, will include boxed pasta, homemade sauce and meatballs from Legends Eatery; a loaf from Breadworks; a bottle of red wine from Engine House 25 Wines, and cookies from Priory Fine Pastries.

With support from the PNC Foundation, the Children’s Museum will deliver an additional 300 dinner boxes to community families experiencing food insecurity, through museum partners Providence Connections Family Support Center and Manchester Academic Charter Middle School.

During the evening, gala guests also can enjoy a virtual entertainment program celebrating the best of the museum through the arts and other experiences.

The $400 Great Night In Family Gala ticket includes the boxed meal for four, access to the virtual program and a special invitation to a VIP question-and-answer session. Tickets must be purchased by May 26 at greatnightgala.org to receive a boxed meal.
