Greensburg Art Center plans return to on-site classes
Some classes will resume at the Greensburg Art Center beginning in June.
Class sizes will be limited and the center will follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and National Institutes of Health safety guidelines. There will be no children’s activities this summer.
Starting dates for upcoming offerings include:
• June 2: Painting with Cathy Rosensteel (ongoing classes), 10 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Beginners’ Painting with Cathy Rosensteel and Tom Niggel (ongoing classes), 1:30-4:30 p.m.
• June 10: Wednesday Night Painters (ongoing sessions), 7-10 p.m.
• June 12: Five-week Art Sampler class, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. First session is Drawing; others include Acrylic Painting, June 19; Mosaic, June 26; Watercolor, July 10, and Nature Printing, July 17.
• June 16: Let’s Continue our Growth with Sue Pollins (8-week series), 6-9 p.m.
• June 18: Drawing Dynamics with Joe Schildkamp (6-week series), 3:30-5:30 p.m.
• June 18, July 16 and Aug. 20: Figure Drawing (ongoing), 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
• June 25: Paint a Masterpiece with Nina Stahlberg (ongoing), 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
The education committee and teacher will have to approve all new students. Students in the clay studio will be contacted individually.
The center’s gift shop will reopen with limited hours on July 7.
The Art Neighbors Show, a joint exhibition of Greensburg and Latrobe art centers, will open Aug. 15 with an outdoor reception at the center, 230 Todd School Road, Hempfield. It will continue through Oct. 3.
