The trees are starting to turn and the scent of falling leaves is sneaking into the breeze. Autumn is here and there’s no better time of year to grab a hot drink, meet up with friends and make some memories. Here are a few events around the city this weekend.

BaconBurgh

Smoky, crispy, the perfect addition to any food — it’s bacon! On Saturday, Beers of the Burgh will celebrate your favorite friend for eggs, potatoes, burgers and more with BaconBurgh.

The event will take place in the town square of the SouthSide Works, where visitors can sample a plethora of different bacon-inspired dishes. And, for extra indulgence, bacon lovers will get to pair their favorite food with delicious beers and bourbon.

More than 15 food trucks will feature both savory and sweet bacon-y offerings throughout the day, and the culinary festival will offer beer, cocktails and more as well. Plus, live bands will play all day to help you work off some of those bacon calories by dancing, vendors will be set up to offer their wares and kids’ activities will keep the whole family having fun.

BaconBurgh will be held from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday at SouthSide Works. For tickets and more information, visit beersoftheburgh.com.

Fall Harvest Fest

Autumn doesn’t just mean spooky vibes; it also means it’s time to harvest all of the delicious produce that’s been growing throughout the summer. The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh on the North Side is spotlighting this bountiful time of year on Sunday with its Fall Harvest Fest.

Included with museum admission — so don’t skip the delightful exhibits! — the festival will feature a cornucopia of garden delights. Attendees can explore the garden, paint pumpkins, meet community growers and leaders, and take some tasty produce from their free stand.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Children’s Museum. Learn more at pittsburghkids.org.

‘Evil Dead The Musical’

‘Tis the season for horror films, and Sam Raimi’s “Evil Dead” trilogy is a cult classic seasonal staple. Now, audiences have the chance to see Ash do his thing live, in person and accompanied by catchy songs.

“Evil Dead The Musical” opens Friday and runs through Oct. 25 at the West End Canopy. This show is bloody, hilarious, action-packed and so much fun. It’s also inappropriate for kids (as you can imagine).

This weekend’s performances will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Make sure to plan for an outdoor covered venue. Get tickets at pittsburghmusicals.com.

Arbor Aid 2025

Take a trip to Tree Pittsburgh’s beautiful riverside campus for this fundraising night of drinks, bites, dancing and lovely views to benefit the city’s urban forest.

The event will feature tasty food, including a cookie table (gluten-free and vegan options will be available), Penn Brewery beer, A Few Bad Apples cider, wine and a signature mocktail. There will also be DJ-provided music to soundtrack the night.

General admission tickets for the 21+ event are $50, but there are other ticketing options. The event will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Tree Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville. Get your tickets at treepittsburgh.org.

Bellevue Music Festival

A free concert is always music to our ears, and this Saturday’s music festival will get everyone’s toes tapping. As a bonus, the event is an opportunity to explore venues and businesses in the vibrant community of Bellevue.

Dozens of local bands will take stages around the town all day long, playing music in genres from R&B to Americana to reggae to rock. Not to mention that any food or beverage option you’re craving will be available, from a tasty meal to a snack to craft beer and delicious coffee, throughout the festival and in Bellevue itself.

The festival will be held from 1 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday in Bellevue. A full schedule of bands, maps of businesses and free/paid parking locations are available at bellevuepa.us/musicfestival.
