Mattress Factory hosts Charlie Chaplin films set to live music

“The Charlie Chaplin Picture Show,” with live musical accompaniment, is planned for April 23 at Pittsburgh’s Mattress Factory.

Chamber Music Pittsburgh will host “The Charlie Chaplin Silent Picture Show” at 7 p.m. April 23 at The Mattress Factory, 500 Sampsonia Way, Pittsburgh.

Pianist Tom Roberts and clarinetist Mary Beth Malek will perform live to accompany Chaplin films “The Rink,” “The Pawn Shop” and “Kid Auto Races at Venice.”

Popcorn will be provided for the all-ages screening.

The museum will be open from 6-7 p.m. for movie patrons to view all exhibits free of charge. Parking is available in the museum lot or at 1300 Brighton Road, across from Commonplace Coffee.

Tickets at $15 can be purchased in advance at 412-624-4129 or chambermusicpittsburgh.org.

Any remaining general admission tickets will be sold first-come, first-served, at the door. The box office opens at 6:30 p.m.
