Sage's Army online art auction features Western Pa. artists' work
The work of noted area artists will be available in an online art auction to benefit Sage’s Army.
Bidding will begin at noon Wednesday.
Among more than two dozen artists donating work are prominent local artists including Dan Overdorff, Mary Ellen Raneri and Toni Antonucci, along with national and international artists.
Overdorff describes his work as “Poporiginal Expressionism.” He is creative maestro at You Area Here 406 Gallery in Jeannette and is the founder and chief curator of the Headkeeper Artist Initiative in Greensburg.
Raneri has shown works in various media in galleries and exhibitions around the area, including this year’s virtual Westmoreland Art Nationals. She is the organizer of “The Art of Love,” an annual show in the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center.
A self-taught artist and therapist, Antonucci began showing her work in 2017 at the urging of her late son and fellow artist, Demetre Josebeck, who founded the Art for Recovery and Transformation show in Greensburg.
The auction was coordinated by artist and creative consultant Bridget Stamp, founder and director of Creative Intelligence: 3, 6, 9, whose work focuses on mixed media landscapes.
Bidding will continue through Aug. 12. Work available for bidding can be viewed here.
Proceeds benefit the work of Sage’s Army, an Irwin-based nonprofit drug awareness/prevention organization created in honor of Sage Capozzi, a teen who lost his life to substance use disorder.
