Kevin McManus and The Bone Forum will open the Winter Jazz Concert Series on Nov. 13 at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art.

The Pittsburgh-based jazz trombone ensemble will play from 7-9 p.m. that evening at the Greensburg museum, 221 N. Main St.

“On the second Wednesday of the every month, November through February, our community room becomes a jazz club lounge with a cash bar,” the museum says in a release.

McManus is an adjunct instructor of trombone and jazz studies at Seton Hill University and is also on the faculties of Frostburg State University, Westminster College and Westmoreland County Community College. He has performed with such artists as Tony Bennett, Josh Groban, Wayne Newton, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Aretha Franklin, Pattie LaBelle, The Temptations and The Four Tops.

Concert-goers are invited to arrive early to explore the galleries and get a bite to eat from Café Marchand, both of which will be open until 7 p.m.

Currently featured in The Westmoreland’s main gallery is the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh’s 107th annual exhibition.

The cafe, a partnership with chefs Christophe Fichet and Nicolas Grunewald of The French Express in Latrobe, offers a rotating seasonal menu of soups, quiches, pastries and snacks with locally sourced farm-to-table ingredients.

A ticket to the concert is $10, or $8 for museum members.
