The Westmoreland plans online gift box photo album workshop
Editor’s note: This event is now at maximum capacity. Another Pop-Up Studio is set for June 24, with a project to be announced.
The Westmoreland Museum of American Art will host its first digital Pop-Up Studio on May 27, inviting participants to create their own explosion gift box photo albums.
The free Zoom webinar from 6-8 p.m. will include step-by-step instruction from studio programs coordinator Michael Carsone.
The 3-D gift box, created from basic cardstock, opens up to hold photos and can even accommodate a small gift.
Pop-Up Studio participants will need to have their own supplies on hand. Supply list includes:
• Five pieces of card stock: 12-by-12-inch card stock for a 4-inch box or 8.5-by-11-inch card stock for a 3-inch box
• Metal-edge ruler with inch increments for use on the 12-by-12-inch card stock; a ruler with millimeter increments is preferred for use with the 8.5-inch cardstock
• X-acto knife
• Cutting mat or smooth, sturdy piece of cardboard
• Glue stick or other type of glue of your preference for working with paper
• Other various decorative papers and additional cardstock
• Photos
Advance registration is required by May 25 via Showclix. After registering on Showclix, participants will be sent a Zoom webinar link by email that will be needed to access the session.
