Multi-platinum record-selling musician, composer and producer Ben Folds will return to Pittsburgh for a June 3 date with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

The concert repertoire will be announced from the stage of the concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Heinz Hall.

Folds has four previous appearances with the PSO, beginning with a sold-out concert in 2010.

He has created a large body of genre-bending music that includes alternative rock albums with Ben Folds Five, whose most successful song was “Brick,” from 1997.

His last album was a blend of pop songs and his Concerto for Piano and Orchestra that went to No. 1 on both the Billboard classical and classical crossover charts.

In addition to solo rock and orchestral touring, Folds is the author of a recent memoir, “A Dream About Lightning Bugs,” which debuted as a New York Times Best Seller.

Tickets to the June 3 concert go on sale at 10 a.m. March 6. Prices range from $35 to $125.

Special VIP Experiences are available, including a “Meet & Greet” with premium seating and “Ask Me Anything … About Music.”
