Pioneer heavy metal band Blue Oyster Cult will play Oct. 3 at Vinoski Winery in Rostraver.
The band will be joined by Pittsburgh-area singer/songwriter Mark Ferrari and indie rock trio Abacus Jones.
Doors will open at 3 p.m., with music beginning at 4 p.m., rain or shine.
Blue Oyster Cult released its self-titled debut album in 1972 and had hits including “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” from 1976’s “Agents of Fortune,” “Godzilla” from 1977’s “Spectres” and “Burnin’ for You” from 1981’s “Fire of Unknown Origin.”
Through the years, the band has toured steadily and has an album of new material, “The Symbol Remains,” scheduled for a fall release.
A video for the first single from the album, “That Was Me,” was released Sept. 1.
Single tickets to the show range from $40 to $75. Limited reserved table seating will be available for $200 and $300. All table reservations require the whole table to be purchased, with no groups larger than four per table.
Social distancing guidelines will be strictly enforced.
Those with general admission lawn tickets are responsible for their own seating arrangements. Guests sitting on the lawn or on the winery patios will need to maintain a 6-foot distance from other parties.
Patrons must have masks on when checking in or communicating with staff. Masks must be worn when away from designated seating space for any reason.
The concert is presented by the Vinoski Foundation, a private charity that supports individuals, programs or other charities in the areas of children and education, health and wellness and Christian ministries, outreach and mission work.
