Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will not be performing at Pittsburgh, or anywhere else this month.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer is being treated for symptoms of peptic ulcer disease, and medical advisors have instructed him not get back on stage for awhile, according to a post on his official Twitter account Wednesday.

He was expected to perform at PPG Paints on Tuesday, Sept. 12 and Thursday, Sept. 14.

“Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows,” Springsteen said via Twitter.

“First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support.

“We’ve been having a blast at our U.S. shows and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon. Love and God bless all.”

Ticket holders will receive information regarding rescheduled dates for the postponed shows.

Springsteen last performed here in 2016 at PPG Paints Arena.

According to setlist.fm, Springsteen has played 36 concerts in Pittsburgh, beginning in 1973 with a seven-song performance at Schenley Plaza.
