Dave Matthews Band coming to Burgettstown on summer tour
The Dave Matthews Band 2020 North American summer tour includes a July 3 date at S&T Bank Music Park in Burgettstown.
The tour launches June 16-17 with a two-night stand in Uncasville, Conn., and wraps Sept. 23 in Southaven, Miss.
Dates will include the band’s traditional three-night Labor Day run, Sept. 4-6, at the Gorge Amphitheater near George, Wash. Artists Mavis Staples, Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, Allen Stone, Robert Randolph and the Family Band and Dumpstafunk will join in during the weekend.
An online ticket pre-sale for members of the DMB Warehouse Fan Association will begin at 10 a.m. Jan. 23 at warehouse.davematthewsband.com.
Citi is the official pre-sale credit card for tour. Citi cardmembers can purchase pre-sale tickets from 10 a.m. Feb. 18 to 10 p.m. Feb. 20 at citientertainment.com.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Feb. 21 via livenation.com.
Dave Matthews Band has sold more than 25 million tickets since its inception and a collective 38 million CDs and DVDs. With the release of 2018’s “Come Tomorrow,” DMB became the first group in history to have seven consecutive studio albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
“Under the Table and Dreaming,” DMB’s 1994 major label debut album, has been certified six times platinum. The band won the 1996 Grammy Award for Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group for “So Much to Say.”
The band is known for playing its songs differently at every live show.
Dave Matthews Band is committing to help plant 1 million trees in collaboration with The Dreaming Tree Wines and DocuSign, according to a release. The band invites concertgoers to join in by contributing an optional donation of $2 per ticket to plant a tree with The Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees campaign — a forest restoration effort with a goal of planting 1 billion trees around the world by 2025.
