Hungry for some Duran Duran? Pittsburghers are in luck — the group is headed to town.

The British band, which rose to fame in the 1980s, will bring its Future Past tour to PPG Paints Arena on Sept. 9.

“It’s remarkable to me that as a band, we are still hitting new milestones, and introducing the sound of DD to new generations of music lovers,” band frontman Simon Le Bon said of the tour. “We are truly grateful that we get to do what we do on a daily basis, and that we still love our job as much as we did when we started out some four decades ago.”

The band announced a 26-date North American arena tour, which will also feature Bastille and Nile Rodgers & CHIC as special guests. The LiveNation tour will launch May 28 in San Jose, Calif.

In addition to Le Bon, Duran Duran’s current lineup includes Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor.

According to setlist.fm, this will be the band’s eighth appearance in Pittsburgh, having last performed in 2005 at what was then the Chevrolet Amphitheatre (the spot that is now Highmark Stadium). A 2012 show at Stage AE was canceled and never rescheduled. The group’s first Pittsburgh show was at Heaven in 1982.

Pre-sale seats will be available at 10 a.m. Feb. 13 for the band’s VIP members. General tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 16.

The group’s fame rose in the early 1980s with hits like “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Rio,” “The Reflex” and “A View to a Kill.” They continued to hit the charts into the 1990s with hits like “Ordinary World” and “Come Undone.” Their latest album, “Future Past,” was released in October 2021.

In November, Duran Duran was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.

Last year also saw the release of the group’s docu-concert film, “A Hollywood High,” and a big New Year’s Eve performance in Times Square.
