Welcome to the jungle, or rather PNC Park.

Guns N’ Roses, one of the biggest bands of the late ’80s, has announced a show at Pittsburgh’s PNC Park for Friday, Aug. 18.

The opening act for the show is The Pretenders.

Tickets will be available starting today via the band’s presale at 10 a.m. General tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at gunsnroses.com.

The band’s 2023 World Tour kicks off next week on June 5 in Tel Aviv, Israel, and will continue across Europe through July 22.

The North American leg will start Aug. 5 in New Brunswick, Canada, and will hit venues across the U.S. including two other iconic baseball parks, Boston’s Fenway Park (Aug. 21) and Chicago’s Wrigley Field (Aug. 24.)

Guns N’ Roses have performed in Pittsburgh four previous times, the most recent being a Heinz Field appearance in 2016 on their Not in This Lifetime tour.

The band exploded onto the the hard rock scene in 1987 with the release of “Appetite for Destruction” which included tracks “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Paradise City” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”

After “G N’ R Lies,” an EP release in 1988 which included the song “Patience,” the band followed up with “Use Your Illusion” volumes I and II in 1991. The hits from the double-album included “November Rain,” “Don’t Cry” and “Civil War.”

The band’s last studio album was “Chinese Democracy” released in 2008

Guns N’ Roses’ current lineup includes original members Axl Rose (lead vocals), Slash (guitar) and Duff McKagan (bass guitar); Dizzy Reed (keyboards, piano) has been with the band since 1990; and Richard Fortus (guitars) Frank Ferrer (drums) and Melissa Reese (synthesizers) round out the band.
