“Can’t wait to get out there and have some fun playing with my friends to all of my friends,” Hall says in a release.
“Having KT Tunstall and Squeeze on the bill with us is just gonna make for an amazing night of music. Can’t wait to see you all on the road,” Oates adds.
The international multi-platinum-selling group has sold more albums than any other duo in music history, according to Live Nation.
Their musical career kicked off with 1973’s Atlantic debut “Abandoned Luncheonette,” followed by 1974’s “War Babies,” produced by Todd Rundgren. What follows is six consecutive multi-platinum albums: “Bigger Than Both of Us,” “Voices,” “Private Eyes,” “H2O,” the greatest hits collection “Rock N Soul, Part 1” and “Big Bam Boom.” Their No. 1 singles include “Rich Girl,” “Kiss on My List,” “Private Eyes,” “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do),” “Maneater” and “Out of Touch.”
In 1987, the Recording Industry Association of America recognized Hall and Oates as the number-one selling duo in music history, a record they hold to this day.
They have achieved induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2016, they together received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
British band Squeeze still receives radio airplay for early hits including “Tempted,” “Black Coffee in Bed” and “Pulling Mussels from the Shell.” Scottish singer-songwriter Tunstall, who rose to fame with her hit “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree,” scored another hit with “Suddenly I See.”
