Country singer Jason Aldean is bringing his Highway Desperado tour to the Pittsburgh area next year.

Aldean, whose new album “Highway Desperado” was released Nov. 3, will play the Pavilion at Star Lake on Aug. 10. He’ll be joined by Lauren Alaina, Chase Matthew, Austin Snell and Dee Jay Silver.

His single, “Try That in a Small Town,” came out in May and became No. 1 on country radio. But that song courted controversy as some critics said it promoted violence and racism, while fans said it pays tribute to small-town values.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at livenation.com, with a variety of presales staggered over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Aldean’s last show in Pittsburgh came in 2021 at Star Lake, with Hardy and Lainey Wilson opening, on the Back in the Saddle tour. A storm forced the evacuation of the venue before the concert resumed.
