Kiefer Sutherland.

Kiefer Sutherland had to cancel three performances in Denmark and Sweden after slipping on the stairs in a bus and injuring his ribs.

The actor-turned-singer was on his way to a show in Denmark when the accident happened, according to Billboard.

Sutherland posted a note to social media Thursday apologizing for the missed shows and promising that he would make them up.

“Sadly I slipped on steps on the bus whilst travelling [sic] to Denmark and seriously injured a rib, making it difficult to breathe and impossible to sing,” he posted.

“Regretfully, I will not be able to perform the last 3 shows of our tour, but have every intension [sic] of making up these shows in September / October when we return.

“I am so sorry for any inconvenience that I have caused to the fans who have bought tickets. I will do everything I can to make it up to you.”

Thank you all for your incredible kindness and support. We’ll be back on the road before you know it... and I promise to be more careful walking downstairs on a moving bus!

Sutherland released his album, “Reckless & Me,” in April and has been touring since. In June he played a show at Jergel’s Rhythm Grill in Warrendale.

Before his Jergel’s show he spoke about his music career and how he came to love writing and performing country music.

“Songwriting is very much the same thing. I found a genre of music where I was allowed to write a pretty direct lyric. It’s the way I wanted to write,” he said.

He is scheduled to continue his tour in September and October in Europe.
