The Material Girl and Champagne Papi headline February’s biggest shows in Pittsburgh.

Madonna is set for a concert rescheduled from August, while Drake visits for two nights of shows. Here’s a look at the most notable shows coming to the area this month:

Top shows

Feb. 5: Madonna at PPG Paints Arena

It’s already been 11 years since Madonna last performed a full show in Pittsburgh, so what’s a few more hours?

Madonna has been sued in New York after her show — announced as an 8:30 p.m. start — actually started at 10:50, with the suit making accusations of “unconscionable, unfair, and/or deceptive trade practices.” Her management said they plan to fight the lawsuit. (FYI, Pittsburgh’s show is also slated for 8:30 p.m.)

Postponed after the singer’s brush with death last summer, the Celebration tour is a career-spanning extravaganza, covering her 40-plus years of radio and video hits.

“I didn’t think I was going to make it,” she told the London crowd in October. “I forgot five days of my life — or death, I didn’t really know where I was.”

Feb. 16-17: Drake, J. Cole at PPG Paints Arena

One night in Pittsburgh wasn’t enough for singer/rapper Drake. After tickets sold quickly for his first show, a second night was quickly added for his Big as the What? tour.

Drake, known for songs like “One Dance,” “God’s Plan,” “In My Feelings” and “Hotline Bling,” last played here in 2016 on his Summer Sixteen tour.

“One of my biggest accomplishments is the fact that I didn’t let this massive, massive change in my life destroy me,” Drake said in a 2019 interview with Rap Radar. “I’m just happy that I’m still intact.”
