“It’s on.”

Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx announced in a video released Thursday that The Stadium Tour with co-headliners Def Leppard and special guests Poison and Joan Jett is happening this summer.

The mega concert featuring the four rock acts was first announced in 2019 and set for the summer of 2020, but the pandemic wiped out it and many other tours.

A summer 2021 date was set but then also canceled.

But this year, according to members of the four bands, it’s happening: “Dude, yes! It’s on!,” said Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee. “It’s really happening,” said Def Leppard’s Joe Elliot and Phil Collen. “Oh, it’s on,” said Bret Michaels of Poison. “It’s happening,” said Joan Jett.

Motley Crue said on social media, “It’s on! We don’t think we’ve ever looked forward more to kicking off a tour than this one. We can’t wait to finally see all the fans across North America again. Get ready for a wild ride this summer!”

Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott said in a statement, “On behalf of the band, we’re beyond thrilled that the stadium tour is finally happening this summer. It’s been a while coming and we can’t wait to get back on stage again and we can’t wait to see you in one of the many stadiums soon!”

The tour’s original 36 dates, including Pittsburgh on Friday, Aug. 12 at 4:30 p.m. at PNC Park, are happening. And five other shows in Toronto, Indianapolis, Vancouver, Edmonton and Las Vegas have been added.

Rock band Classless Act is set to open the tour, which kicks off on June 16 in Atlanta.

The Pittsburgh show’s previous scheduled dates were Aug. 16, 2020, and July 22, 2021.
