Performances from a pair of hip-hop stars and a big-name DJ have been added as part of Pittsburgh’s weekend hosting the NFL Draft.

The concerts will take place at a pair of venues: The Plaza at North Shore, a new entertainment space at the corner of Mazeroski Way and General Robinson Boulevard on Pittsburgh’s North Shore, and Shorty’s GoodTimes Bar on North Shore Drive.

The Plaza at North Shore

Hip-hop luminary Nelly, known for “Hot in Herre,” “Ride Wit Me” and more, will open the draft week at the venue’s opening night party on April 22.

EDM star Steve Aoki, a high-energy DJ, will perform a mid-day tailgate set on April 23. (He’s also set for a performance later that night at Hakkasan Nightclub in Las Vegas.)

Grammy winner 2Chainz, perhaps best known for “Birthday Song” with Kanye West, will close out the draft weekend on April 25.

Tickets for the three shows, which are for those 18 and older, are available online here for the 30,000-square foot plaza.

Aoki will perform on April 2 to open the festivities.

Nelly is scheduled for the draft afterparty on April 23, and 2Chainz is on tap for the second night’s afterparty on April 24.

Tickets will be available starting at noon Friday at shortysx.com.

The NFL Draft will take place on Pittsburgh’s North Shore from April 23-25.

In addition to those concerts, country star Jason Aldean headlines Y108’s The Night Before show on April 22 at the Rivers Casino Event Center. The show also features John Morgan and Shane Profitt as well as a local performer. Tickets to the show can’t be purchased — they can be won through various on-air promotions and events at area businesses.
