Punk rockers Anti-Flag announced their new album, “Lies They Tell Our Children,” will be released next year.

The veteran band from Pittsburgh also debuted their new single and video for “LAUGH. CRY. SMILE. DIE.” on Friday. The song features singer Shane Told from Silverstein.

”The album itself is the first conceptual album the band has ever done,” the band wrote on its website, “spawned out of a compulsive need to not just comment on the dystopian corporate wasteland we all face but to trace it back to the origin of this fate; the political policies, laws, cultural shifts, and lineage of injustice that have lead us to the world we live in today.”

Anti-Flag’s 13th album, which is due to come out Jan. 6, 2023, also features appearances from Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage, Tim McIlrath of Rise Against, Brian Baker of Bad Religion, Ashrita Kumar of Pinkshift, Campino of Die Toten Hosen, Tre Burt and Stacey Dee of Bad Cop/Bad Cop. The album is available to pre-order now on vinyl or CD.

Anti-Flag will bring its ANTIfest tour to the Roxian Theatre in McKees Rocks on Oct. 1. Other bands on the bill include Four Year Strong, Microwave, Heart Attack Man and Catbite.
